Wound Licking

In many ways this election cycle was Midwest Values PAC’s most successful. We raised more from more contributors than ever before and were able to support more candidates, state parties, Democratic organizations and ground-game operations than we had ever supported in the past. So, thank you.

But while we helped win quite a few races at almost every level, we were on the losing end of more than we hoped. We helped elect House members, including my former judiciary counsel, Josh Riley, who defeated the incumbent Republican in NY-19. We also helped quite a few U.S. Senators win, but lost some in Ohio and Montana — and we’re awaiting the final results from Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona.

Frankly, I am shaken by the size of Trump’s win. Clearly, we are in a very difficult period as a country. But even as we lick our wounds, we can’t give up the fight. So much of Trump’s agenda is dangerous and must be resisted. We owe it to ourselves and our democracy.

This is just a note of appreciation for all your generosity. I’ll be giving you a rest before I start bugging you again as we turn our attention to raising for the 2026 cycle. Just know the fight must continue, and it will.

P.S. As you know, this P.S. is usually just an excuse to put in another “ask.” This one is an excuse to put in another “thank you.” So, THANK YOU!
