Last Thursday three federal judges on the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals struck down net neutrality. They ruled that the FCC lacks the authority to reinstate rules that prevented broadband providers from slowing down or outright blocking access to internet content.
I recognize that not everyone is ready to jump right back into fundraising or, frankly, fundraising emails. (Even I don’t like fundraising emails, and I write a lot of them!)
The holidays are a time to be grateful for all the good things in life. All of us at Midwest Values PAC are indebted to those of you who gave so that MVP could support so many Democrats and progressive independents.
Once again, former and future President Donald Trump is Time magazine’s Person of the Year. That makes sense. I’m hoping against hope that next year’s Person of the Year will not be “The Deported Immigrant.”
Since November 5, the news has been pretty hard to watch. So far, we’ve had to process the scores of terrible Trump nominees for various positions in his administration, each one worse than the next.
In many ways this election cycle was Midwest Values PAC’s most successful. We raised more from more contributors than ever before and were able to support more candidates, state parties, Democratic organizations and ground-game operations than we had ever supported in the past.
