This past week the Dow hit 38,000 for the first time. Fifty-eight percent of Americans own stock, and many who don’t, have pensions or 401ks that are invested in the market.
It’s Trump.
Well, the bad news is that it looks very much like a short march to the nomination for Donald Trump.
SCARY!
I just read a piece in the New York Times from columnist Zeynep Tufekci entitled, “The Appeal of an American Strongman.”
It’s time to get our collective ass in gear.
Remember watching the January 6th Committee hearings and thinking, “Well, Trump is toast?”
My dad said, “F*#$ that.”
My family watched Cronkite every night while we ate dinner on tray tables and in 1963, we watched as police set fire hoses, dogs, and billy clubs on civil rights protestors. In no uncertain terms, my dad said we couldn’t be for that.
“We love you.”
It “will be wild.” That’s what Donald Trump told his supporters about his January 6, 2021, rally in Washington. And he was right.
I actually write these damn things
Happy New Year! I just realized that this year is an election year. That’s because the guy who runs my PAC reminded me.
“Thanks, Al. You’re the best!”
I’m pretty sure you’ve received a few “end of quarter” or “end of year” or, if you’re old enough “end of century” emails asking for support for one thing or another.
