I don’t have to tell you how important the runoff in Georgia is.
But that won’t stop me from telling you.
Yes, we already have the majority in the Senate. That’s nice. But one more seat does a number of important things. First of all, this will make a huge difference in getting legislation and nominations (including judges) out of committee and passed much faster on the floor. Floor time is really important!
Secondly, Sen. Warnock is a terrific senator. So, there’s that!
Also, Vice President Harris won’t have to stick around the Capitol to cast tie-breaking votes. That way she can attend to all her other important work!
Also, we’ll only need Manchin or Sinema.
And then there’s Herschel Walker. You know, it used to be that holding a gun to your wife’s head was a disqualifier.
Midwest Values PAC is sending money (including, we hope, your money) to Georgia — to the state party and other entities, including our continued support for UNITE HERE’s ground game operation.
