Donald Trump is now selling watches for $100,000. For one watch! They’re advertised as collector items and “not for investment.” I suspect that’s because, as expensive watches go, they’re kind of a rip-off.
I have never been interested in expensive watches. I wear a Timex, which keeps time as well as any watch. So far as I can tell. And it only cost $34.99.
Instead, my interest has always been in politics. Trump, on the other hand, seems like he’s always been interested in expensive things. Like lawyers, to keep him out of prison.
And now, he’s extremely interested in winning this election — also to keep his ass out of prison. And to make him the most powerful person in the world.
Following Trump’s lead, I thought, “What if I sell Al Franken Steaks!?” Then instead of using the money on me, I would give it to Democrats!
When I told my team this brilliant idea, they said, “Al, forget the steaks. Just tell people what MVP is focused on and people will give!” See, this is why I keep them around.
As you know, I’m a big believer in the ground game and supporting organizations that are connecting directly with voters. This is why we’re pushing as much money out as we can to operations in battleground states, so please keep those dollars coming.
The folks we are donating to are pros. They collect important data: Who’s already voted? Who do we need to connect with again? Who do we not have to reach out to again? What they hear on the doors is very valuable information.
We’ve only got a couple of weeks to go! Let’s win this!
