I was one of a few U.S. Senators who was a member of a union — actually, two unions: The Writers Guild of America and SAG/AFTRA, which stands for The Screen Actors Guild and The American Federation of TV and Radio Artists.
Gov. Tim Walz is also a proud union member. As a former high school teacher, he belonged to the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers.
A Harris-Walz Administration will be pro-union. Vice President Harris and Gov. Walz know unions built the middle class. They’ve both appeared on picket lines. They support workers’ protections.
Like me, Donald Trump was a member of SAG. But he was forced to resign after the January 6th attack on the Capitol. He was not a pro-union president, and he won’t be if he wins this November — the far-right’s Project 2025 proposes restricting workers’ rights if Trump returns to the White House.
Midwest Values PAC supports labor. And we will be supporting candidates who support labor, including the Harris-Walz ticket. I hope you can help us this Labor Day.

P.S. The widening gap between those at the very top in our society and the rest of America is dividing us and making our country angrier and meaner. Please help MVP fight for a more equitable country for all our people.
