Two years ago today, Samuel Alito and five Republican Supreme Court justices overturned Roe v. Wade

Writing for the majority, Alito noted, “The Constitution makes no mention of abortion.” Why would it? It makes no mention of women. Another fun fact: In his opinion, Alito frequently cites a 17th century “eminent” legal authority, Sir Matthew Hale, who sentenced two witches to death in 1662.

This November is the first presidential election since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. The balance in both the House and Senate and the occupant of the White House may very well determine whether Congress can reverse the court, or whether it will restrict abortion rights even further.

Midwest Values PAC continues to donate to Democrats who believe in the right to abortion, whether the Constitution makes mention of it or not. I hope you can help us re-elect President Biden and Democrats up and down the ticket. Together I believe we can restore women’s right to make their own health care decisions.

Thanks!

Al

P.S. Witches are also not mentioned in the Constitution.
