The SCOTUS 9-0 ruling against anti-abortion organizations and doctors (to be clear, not OBGYNs) who petitioned the FDA’s approval to broaden the distribution of Mifepristone, including mail options, was purely on standing.
The same case will show up down the road, whether or not Trump is elected.
But things will get much worse, if he is. You see, Project 2025 — the collaboration between the Heritage Foundation and other right-wing groups to shape a Trump second-term agenda — is calling to reverse the FDA’s approval of medication abortion.
That would criminalize 63% of abortions.
And that is the tip of a very scary iceberg that will threaten our democracy and America’s role in the world.
