In 2000, Al Gore lost Florida, and with it, the presidency by 537 votes.
In 2008, I won my Senate seat by 312 votes. (You may have heard this one before, and you have every right to roll your eyes but I’m mentioning it anyway! And this probably won’t be the last time! Because we wouldn’t have the Affordable Care Act without those 312 votes!)
This November, battleground states will be decided by one or two votes per precinct. And with 46 days left to go, polls are showing the election is going to be very close.
This tells you how meaningful every vote, and every dollar, is in elections.
I hope you consider contributing $53.70 to Midwest Values PAC. Or $31.20. Or really any amount. (Those very specific amounts are just something my team tells me works well in these fundraising emails.) No matter the amount, your contributions help us help candidates around the country and especially in battleground states.
MVP is investing in the most crucial races in the country, including — and as we always do — in turn-out operations in key battleground states. Because of your help, we can support organizations focused on mobilizing voters and getting them to the polls.

P.S. You know the deal with these postscripts. So, I’ll cut to the chase — please help!!
