Dear Internet Friend,
Hi. I wanted to take a minute out of my extremely busy day to let you know what I’ve been so darn busy doing here at Midwest Values PAC.
(CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR MVP COMMUNITY!)
We just launched a really great, new part of our website, MVP
Community. If you click HERE and sign up (it’s free), you’ll be
joining a nationwide community of progressives who are already
blogging, joining issue groups, planning events, exchanging recipes,
and God knows what else. We think social capital is an important part
of politics, and we think our site is a great way to help you get to
know your allies in the progressive movement. You get to know them
on-line so you can work with them off-line. Plus, it’s actually fun.
It’s the single most exciting thing you can do on the Internet. That
I am currently aware of.

We’ve also been doing everything we can to get progressive candidates elected in 2006. I want to take back at least one house of Congress this November. I think our slogan should be: “Subpoena Power!” We’ve endorsed (and, by “endorsed,” I mean “given money to”) great people like Tim Walz in Minnesota and Nick Lampson in Texas, Kent Conrad in North Dakota and Bernie Sanders in Vermont, Dan Seals in Illinois and Francine Busby in California.
We’ve also tried to help out progressive organizations doing great
work on issues, like Illinois Health Care Referendum 2006 in Illinois, which is fighting for universal health care, and Preschool for All in California, which is fighting for universal pre-K education.
Of course, handing out all this money isn’t free. I need the
continuing support of friends like you as I travel around the country, working to build a liberal tidal wave in 2006. So, c’mon, how about chipping in? Click HERE to make a contribution to Midwest Values PAC.
What else is going on? Well, if you’re not reading my blog at the MVP website, you’re missing out on posts like my recent debate with Ann Coulter, and my last USO tour.
So, come on over to midwestvaluespac.org. Sign up. Start a blog.
Make some friends. Give us some money .

I like the slogan for 2006. I think we also have to really have an organized effort to both promote religious freedom, while demonstrating the wisdom of separation of church and state. To that end, let’s challenge the Republican party to either change the constitution or respect and live by it as written.
Only by actually pushing for a Cosntitutional amendment will sufficient scrutiny be placed on this current trend of blending of church and state. Only then will the nation realize that what the Christian right wants is for the people to support Christian beliefs, and for the government to minimize those very people who do not share Christian ideals. Obviously this is a devisive proposition. Only by supporting all law abiding people, regardless of religious faith, can the nation maintain peace and unity.
If they fail to push for an amendment, yet still push for religious values in public policy, then Democrats can correctly label them as hypocrits.

Dear Al, The next time you speak with a doughnut head from the right ask this question. Why would you support a self-stated twenty five year alcoholic with a burnt out brain like George W. Bush??? Dubya does not act like a sane person.
1) Pre-emptive war.
2) Inhumane treatment of prisoners.
3) Tapping and tracing of U.S. citizens phone calls unlawfully.
4) Supporting Don Rumsfeld-failure at directing our military.
5) Retaining a soon-to-be indicted criminal- Karl Rove.
6) Directing that the Mexican Border have a 2000 mile fence to be built by Cheney’s Company Halliburton.
7) Proposing that his phoney baloney brother in Florida be the next President.
8) Putting our National Guard at the Mexican Border. Mexico is supposed to be a strong ally???
9) Increasing our National Debt by over three trillon dollars in his 5+ years as President.
With all the insanity coming from the White House 2+ more years is too long to put up with this nonsense!!!!!! Impeach Dubya NOW!!!!!
Sincerely,
Bigtommy
