Are you a progressive who wants to:
- Network with other fun-minded progressives in your area?
- Mobilize and learn more about issues such as healthcare or campaign finance reform?
- Make new friends with others across the country?
Then what are you waiting for? Join MVP’s new and growing community, and you’ll gain access to all these benefits, plus be eligible to win free stuff from Al. It’s fast and easy—just follow these four steps.
Step 1. Create a Free Account

To start, create an account here.
After registering, you’ll receive an email to confirm your account.
Step 2. Your Profile: Tell Us About Yourself

Once you’ve created your account, you’ll be taken to your profile manager. On the left side of the page you’ll see a section called ‘My Profile.’ Click on edit your profile, and introduce yourself to the community.
This is how people will learn more about you—and be sure to click ‘searchable to users’ so people can find you.
Your profile is also part of our ‘Social Network’ tool. Through our socialnet, you can:
- Add and make friends (through their profiles)
- Send private messages
- Invite others to MVP
Step 3. Join a Group!

Interested in campaign finance reform? Universal healthcare? Or are you from the Twin Cities area?
MVP wants progressives activists to build connections, make new friends, and share ideas with people of similar interests and geographical location.
Through our Groups and Circles feature, you can connect your new profile and discuss local and national issues with others!
If you can’t find a group that fits your interest, you can also start your own.
Once you’ve joined a group, you’ll want to start communicating with fellow group members. One way to do this is through blogging …
Step 4. Start Blogging!

Through MidwestValuesPAC.org, it’s easy to start your own blog in minutes. Click on manage your blog, and then click “create your own blog.” Now you’re ready to start posting about anything you want.
When you write blog posts, you also have the option of tagging a post to your group. For example, if you write a post on Twin City politics, you tag your post to your ‘Twin Cities’ group and the post will appear on the Twin Cities Group Blog.
To check out what other members are blogging about, read our Community Blog, which catches all of the recent posts by members.
